Virtual desktop input lag
B
I normally dont get motion sickness in native Quest games, but I did feel some motion sickness using Virtual Desktop for PCVR versions of the same games. I fixed this by turning on Sliced Encoding in the Virtual Desktop settings, since then I no longer perceive much latency or feel motion sick.

It's been up and down with VD for me.Getting sickness I haven't gotten yet. Slicedencoding I have no luck with. Since I started using shadow with vr. There is a discord we are all pretty active on if you are looking for help on setting it up. Theres times where I have next to nothing for latency. Other times a lot.

Ive had the same problem, and I have lightning fast WiFi. I got headaches, and ultimately decided to cancel my shadow subscription because of all the lag.

Same place. No motionsickness but the lag makes anything completely unplayable. Can't even play chess as I can't accurately move the pieces with my hand moving around as if I was high as a kite and losing track of time. God forbid I try to move my head just a little too. Wanted to run HL Alyx but the thought of walking into a den on zombies and not being able to look around or move my gun quickly is far more terrifying than the game ought to be. I'll be cancelling my subscription too. I don't believe shadow can scale as well as they had hoped and their Ethernet upload speeds from the datacenter aren't good enough to stream VR. It is what it is, great idea but not workable with current tech.

I have tried both methods numerous times on different days at different times of day. For me, it is entirely unlayable despite a very good fiber connection and a dedicated mid-range router. I'm glad it's working for you, I wish it was for me.

@UkarLaurenDid you try to set your 5ghz wifi frequency to 40mhz instead of 80mhz, because this solve the lag pb for me (using vd)

Setting low latency mode to Ultra in the Nvidia control panel reduced my overall latency a good bit. I was previously getting a bitsick but that small latency improvement made games playable for me.
