Top 25 Most Played Apple Music not working iPhone

I've checked both Google and on here for any previous issues with this function, and have not seen a solution, nor any mention of the specific problem I'm having.

Essentially, the Top 25 playlist found in the music app has the top 25 most played songs on my phone. This is true.

But it's in an incorrect order...

As can be seen in the image provided, the songs are listed alphabetically, by artist. Damon albarn is at the top of the sample, and the artists proceed to follow. The songs for each artist are then sorted by each album they are on, in the albums order. So if track 3 on an album would be the most played song in my library, while track 6 would be ranked at around #10, both would be side by side.

Any help? Or is there anyone else facing an issue like this? It's the problem affecting most of the first world right now!

EDIT: Fixed the issue! You have to edit the smart playlist in iTunes itself. Enter the playlist, sort it by plays (click the headings at the top) and then set it so the playlist sets play order to plays.

I just noticed my friend has a Top 25 Most Played playlist, and now I’m curious. I have the 2020 Replay playlist, but not a current list.

I exclusively use Apple Music and don’t think I even have an ITunes connected to this account.

Any advice on how to find it? A quick google search says it should be in my playlists already, but it is not there.

How to Find Top 25 Most Played Songs on Apple Music on iPhone

1. Open the Music app on your iPhone and make sure you are in the Library tab
2. Tap on Playlists.
   
   
3. Scroll down, and you will see a playlist titled Top 25 Most Played. Tap on it.
   
   
4. Here are 25 songs that you have listened to the maximum number of times.
   
   

You can use this playlist to listen to your loved songs over and over. You can also ask Siri to ‘play my top 25 most played songs.‘

Note: If you do not use the Music app much, you won’t see this playlist.

How to See your Apple Music Most Played Songs on Mac

• If you use Apple Music on Android or Apple TV, the procedure is the same as iPhone
• For, Mac you will see a playlist named Top 25 Most Played in the left sidebar of Music app. You may also click on Songs from the left sidebar and then click on Plays from the thin top bar
• For Windows PC, the process is similar to Mac. Just, instead of Music app you have to look for this playlist in iTunes

What is the Difference between Top 25 Most Played Playlist and Apple Music Replay

Apple Music subscription is a must for Replay. You can see your top songs, playlists, and insights in Replay, which is updated every Sunday. It has a rank wise list of the top 100 songs from your library that you have played the most.

Just like regular playlists, you can save, download, and share this playlist. Finally, you can even see Replay for the year 2015 and onwards.

iTunes comes with a Smart Playlist, named Top 25 Most Played and it should be present in your iTunes Library (but empty, obviously) from the moment iTunes is installed.

However, you may need to be more specific about the nature of the issue. Is it that:

1. 1. the Playlist (Top 25 Most Played) is not showing up in the sidebar
   2. the Playlist is there but it's empty (because you have not yet played any music in iTunes and have not yet Synced the device that you play music on with your iTunes Library)
   3. the Playlist is there but empty, even though you have played music on your device and had it connected to iTunes
   4. something else?

First question therefore, is can you see it in the left sidebar?

Scrolling down the sidebar, you should find the Top 25 Most Played Playlist. If it's not there, you can create a replacement one by clicking on File/New/Smart Playlist and setting it up to look like the one shown in the screenshot below:

That only addresses creating a replacement Playlist. If this is not the issue, can you describe the symptoms in more detail?

In that case create a replacement playlist that creates the Top 25 Most Played Playlist once again. I provided details on creating a new one in my previous post.
