Will there be a 2023 Yamaha R3?

The R3 isn’t the fastest Supersport you can buy, but it isn’t slow either—it has the broad, accessible power delivery that makes all-day riding a pleasant challenge, even for beginners.

More importantly, it’s fun and forgiving enough to help you learn how to commit in sticky situations. The same goes with R7.

Only one thing is sure when it comes to the future of motorcycling. Yamaha is going to change it. The company has announced a pair of new colours for its R3 and R7 models, both of which feature a subtle update.

The all-new R7 might not be as beginner friendly as the R3, but it’s an attractive option for more experienced riders seeking an elegant twist to their Supersports diet.

The new R7 motorcycle brings a bold style and athleticism to the ring with up-to-date technology and advanced performance engineered right into its sleek lines.

Yamaha’s entry-level sports bike hasn’t changed much since its introduction in 2015. The 2023 Yamaha YZF-R3 once again boast the same liquid-cooled, DOHC, eight-valve, 321cc parallel-twin as before, which Yamaha characterizes as “no-nonsense, robust and smooth power delivery.”

The USD front shock gets 5.1 inches of travel, while the rear preload-adjustable motocross has 4.9 inches of travel and has a 30.7-inch seat height.

The convincing metric of the 2023 Yamaha YZF-R3 is its $5,499 MSRP. This lightweight performance motorcycle continues to offer a gratifying yet comfortable ride. It gets a 3.7-gallon gas tank.

Unlike the previous version, Midnight Black and Team Yamaha Blue are the same. Yamaha has added a new Phantom Purple livery. The 54.3-inch wheelbase and feathery 375 lbs curb weight contribute to confident handling, making this 50 horsepower 321 cc parallel-twin a perfect starter bike for new riders.

2023 R7

Unlike its younger sibling, the R7 has the same blue and black shades, with the newly added shade Intensity White getting more attention. Of course, there are more important things than bragging rights. The R7 is a great sportbike to throw around on a track day or wring out on the twisty bits of your favourite back road.

At the same as its younger sibling, the new 2023 R3 mechanically, the bike remains the same with four valves per cylinder 689cc, parallel-twin liquid cool fuel injected motor with six-speed transmission.

The YZF-R7 features a preload, rebound and compression adjustable inverted KYB 41mm front fork offering optimized spring rates and damping settings for an excellent front-end feel during cornering and braking.

A high-strength steel frame with a rigid-mount aluminium centre brace provides an optimized rigidity balance for linear and nimble responsiveness to rider input.

The all-new linked-type Monocross single-shock design reduces weight and further centralizes mass.

Its adjustable spring preload and rebound damping are tuned to strike an ideal balance between ride comfort and sporty performance for capability across various uses, from urban commuting to track days.

With a 54.9-inch wheelbase and 23.7-degree rake and Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tires, R7 ensures it is steady on every corner. The new R7 weighs 187 kgs[ 414 pounds], having a full 3.4-gallon fuel tank.

At the same time, the new R7 holds a $9,100 price tag with all three shaded.

Will Yamaha R3 be updated?

The all-new Yamaha YZF-R3 is expected to arrive in 2022, but with multiple improvements.

Did Yamaha discontinue R3?

However, due to the implementation of the more stringent emission norm, the Yamaha R3 was officially discontinued.

Why did Yamaha discontinue the R3?

Despite being a fantastic motorcycle, the R3 didn't manage to find good sales numbers during the course of its journey in India. One big reason behind this is the premium price tag and hence, instead of going for it, customers preferred more affordable options like the KTM RC 390 and the TVS Apache RR310.
