How to get the stylist in terraria

An easy way to find the Stylist is to search through the Underground Snow Biome and keep and eye out for a Spider Nest. Running in and out of a Spider Nest until she spawns is a much easier way to spawn her than searching in multiple nests.

Help finding the stylist.

Im getting so sick and tired of not being able to find her. This is the last NPC i need out of ALL of them and i cant find her. I know she is in spider caves and I did what people online have said. I spent the last hour running from spider cave to spider cave hopeing see whould spawn. Everyone says she will spawn randomley in one of the caves if i go off screen, but THAT NEVER HAPPENS. Honestly any help finding her whould be very appreciated.

I found a Spider Nest underneath my house, but I haven't found the Stylist yet. Do I have to keep looking for other Spider Nests? Will she eventually spawn in the one near my house? I'm pretty new to the game so I might be missing something silly here.

The Stylist spawns in an underground spider nest. Locating one is not too hard but here’s a tip. If you can get dangersense potions [sorry if this is a well known thing because I found this out myself] anyways, if you can get dangersense potions using them is a good way to find a spider nest since dangersense potions light up cobwebs. If the Stylist isn’t there when you find a web it’s better to come back later to see if she spawned yet rather than look for another nest.

The Stylist is an NPC that can change the player's hair color and style. She spawns bound by webs in a Spider Nest and must be rescued by right-clicking her.

Defense

As of 1.3, she uses a pair of Stylish Scissors to fight nearby enemies.

• Once rescued, she will stay in the vicinity until a suitable Home is built for her.
• Since Spider Nests were added in the 1.2 update, the Stylist cannot be found in worlds generated before 1.2.
• An easy way to find the Stylist is to search through the Underground Snow Biome and keep and eye out for a Spider Nest.
• Running in and out of a Spider Nest until she spawns is a much easier way to spawn her than searching in multiple nests.

Trivia

• She has the highest quote count of any NPC.
• Until 1.2.4, she did not receive a randomly generated name.
• She seems to be very violent during Blood Moons, threatening to cut the player's head.
• Her quote "Don't go exploring with scissors, they said. You won't get trapped in spider web, they said!" seems to be a reference to the "[X], they said. It will be fun, they said!" meme.
• The name Meliyah may be a reference to the game Xenoblade Chronicles, where one of the party members you get is named Melia.

Bugs

• Sometimes, the Stylist might not respawn and the player will have to look for her again [fixed in 1.2.4].
• The Stylist may be named Elliot.
• The Stylist may change names when you exit and come back to that world. [possibly mobile only]
