Etude house bubble hair color review năm 2024

I bought this at the Opening Party at SM Megamall. I’ve been wanting to try this one. Yeah, i’m curious how it is done. :]

Actually I’m addicted in coloring my hair. I want that perfect color but i’m afraid if I’m gonna bleach it, it will be damaged. So I stick with DIY hair coloring instead. :]

This bubble hair color bandwagon started from Japan and later been spread out to Asia. And last year, Etude House released their own version with this following colors:

1 Deep Black 2 Dark Brown 3 Natural Brown 4 Wine Red

So I picked the Wine Red.~~ :DD I want this for my Summer hair. Haha!

[yikes! I don’t want that kind of red. XD]

Just this color please:

So what’s inside the box??

1. A Pump Bottle:

2. Liquid Hair Color:

3. Silky Perfume Hair Treatment:

4. Instructions manual [in full Korean. But the pictures can help you, promise!] , Gloves, and the Plastic cape:

Okay, Let’s go to the steps:

First, pour the liquid hair color in the bottle. Btw, the bottle has a liquid in it too. Don’t know what’s that but i’m pretty sure it’s not water. :]

And Tadaa! Bubbles! ~~

Close the pump bottle and tilt it left and right. REMEMBER: Don’t shake the bottle

Then, Put on your cape and your gloves. :]

Pump the mixture in your hands! wee! foam.foam! :]]

Then massage it in your hair like you’re just shampooing it. Sorry but didn’t have the chance to take photos of it while I’m doing it. :[

Lastly, Leave it on for about 30 minutes. :] You may use a shower cap but it is optional.

Rinse and apply Silky Perfume Treatment

And Tadaa!

Love it! :]

What I Love:

  • Easy to use
  • Lightly Scented
  • Effectivity to color my hair
  • Since you will massage it to your hair, the color will spread out even on the roots.
  • Did not stain on my skin

Will I recommend it? Definitely! A great product that won’t cost you bucks unlike having a hair color at salon.. :]

I usually usually use Prettia bubble hair coloring, but since this one was cheaper I wanted to try it out.

The color I won was “moka pink” a reddish kind of brown.

The content of the box are : – a plastic bag with a cape, gloves and the instructions in Korean – a plastic foam bottle with the product – a sachet of silky perfumed treatment to use after coloring the hair – a bigger sachet with the coloring product to mix with the product inside the foam bottle

Dying your hair is usally best on “dirty hair” , try not to wash you hair for three days and you can dye your hair !

I had previously dyed my hair in brown with Prettia so my roots are showing … a lot .

The roots are black and the ends were glossy brown 🙂

The first step in the dying process is off course to comb your hair.

You can also put some Vaseline around your hair line and neck : this helps when wiping out the product of your skin.

Then once you are set, you need to mix the two products : open the foam bottle where there is a transparent liquid.

Open the big sachet and pour it onto the bottle.

Close the bottle and do not shake the bottle!!! Just move it from left to right at least seven times , like a pendulum.

This will mix the product evenly.

No abrupt movement please!

Once you are done mixing, you can now wear the cape and put on the glove.

You can now pump the product on your hand and put it on hair.

The best way to color your hair is to split your hair like you would usually do and start from there.

You can then do it by section : I usually do one pump for one section.

You can do this until all hair is covered with foam.

Even though this is a bubble coloring, I do not put in on my hair like I’m washing my hair.

I run it through my hair then massage my scalp. This is to insist on my roots as I have very dark black hair.

I used up all the bottle because my hair is very thick.

Now you need to wait for 30 minutes.

Something I noticed about this hair dye is that it doesn’t smell bad at all!

But my scalp was tingly during the whole waiting period and the foam melted really quite quickly.

It looked like I played in a puddle of mud, my clothes were tainted BAD.

I had to wipe my face every minute.

See I’m melting…

After the 30 minutes , it was time to rinse it off plus I couldn’t take the tingly feeling …

While rinsing my hair , I felt a complete change of texture of my hair.

It was super dry, like a brush you would usually use to clean your pans.

I felt horrible and panicked : tingly feeling and horrible hair texture is not what I was expecting.

I rinse my hair until the water was transparent. I couldn’t even comb my hair it was that hard.

I then used up all the hair treatment inside the smaller sachet.

This product smelled wonderful and my hair did become softer.

I left it on my wet hair for 10 minutes and used it like a hair mask, instead of a conditionner.

I rinsed my hair again and my hair had become softer … but not like before.

My hair looked black all over wet : it looked like my hair color was balanced out again.

After I dried my hair , the color just looked dark with red highlights but it was not too showy. It turned out pretty natural.

But on some angles , you could still see a color difference on where my hair used to be lighter.

After a couple of days the color was lighter, my hair was even light brown under heavy lights.

Outside , under natural lighting it just looked brown/ black again.

After more than a week , the color is now showing and I have reddish brown hair. But the color isn’t that uniform 😦

I must say I was quite dissapointed about this product and don’t think I will buy it again.

I will stick to prettia and their bubble hair coloring.

PRO’S : *cheap and can be found on several online stores, even ebay. I won mine through ebay and the seller was etude house , their official account. *does not have a bad smell *the hair treatment is great in this box *if you like not obvious color, this one is for you

CON’S * my scalp stinged throughout the whole process * gave my hair a terrible texture : I now have to use several hair masks to make my hair soft again * is very messy : the foam is not firm enough * the color does not show up immediately * the coloring power isn’t that strong

Let me know if you’ve used this before and if you’ve had the same experience, of if yours was more positive !

Is Etude House bubble hair color permanent?

this semi-permanent cream-style hair dye was formulated and designed with the goal of allowing anyone to recreate celebrity style hair colourings seamlessly, and without a fear of damaging the hair!

Is bubble dye good for your hair?

There are many more pros than cons with bubble hair dyes, as they're inexpensive, easy to use and contain fewer harmful chemicals, which means it's less damaging. On that note, having less of those chemicals can result in the color not being quite as long-lasting as professional hair dyes, but that's understandable.

How long does Korean bubble hair dye last?

Yes, the Liese Creamy Bubble Colour and Mise-En-Scene Hello Bubble are permanent! They will last up to 6~8 weeks. Depending on your hair condition, i.e. whether it's been repeatedly bleached, coloured and permed, the colours and hues may change or start to fade in 2-3 weeks.
