Could Latest Tablet models replace Laptops for real?
The trend of technology is decided on the basis of various factors like its weight, size, power, price and various other advanced factors. Every time a technology is replaced by its latest form due to the advancement in these factors. Recently there is also a remarkable evolution in the world of technology where it seems like its time to say laptops to be the ancestors of the latest tablet models.
Recently Apple released its iPad pro[2018], Samsung also released its new Galaxy Tab S4, not Microsoft also released its new Surface Go tablets. All these are tablets which were released more or less at the same time. The most attracting feature in these models is that there is a vast improvement in technology compared to previous tablets. They have become slim, a vast improvement in internal memory and processor, the most observable feature is that its design and capacity is the verge of beating the performance and features of a laptop.
At first, we were mostly engaged between smartphones and laptops because first of all both of them are portable and if we need to call, take pictures we used our smartphones and to mail or to do a little heavy work we used our laptops. Barely someone used a tablet, it was only a piece of showoff for most of the people for its large screen and better display. Most of the companies concentrated more on improving their smartphones and laptops rather than their tablet models.
But now the future is about to change. The tablets are now ready to outsmart the laptops. Tablets always had a slim look so there is nothing new about it, just it might have got a little slimmer than before. The real change appeared in its functionality. Now we get a detachable smart keyboard and a digital pen with it, which makes working with tablets feel like as if we are using a smarter and lighter version of the laptop. Not only it makes us feel like we are using a smart laptop but also internally there are a lot of changes which makes it a good competitor of laptop. For example, lets consider the latest Ipad pro 2018, if you swipe its screen or click you would definitely feel the difference in its smoothness compared to other tablets or smartphones. It comes with the latest A12X Bionic processor which is an a.i. powered processor, storage of 1Tb to 512Gb, face id unlock and many more smart features. Although in case of apple we need to buy the detachable keyboard and Ipen externally and these two products are a bit costly than we expect but in exchange, we do get a premium quality product especially the Ipen. In case of other companies, you get these accessories in free with your tablet. Not only Apple, but in the case of Samsung also you get the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 7300mh battery and a lot more smart features the same as in case of Microsoft surface also.
Why should someone buy tablet instead of laptops?
Simply because This is the future...whatnot these latest tablet models could do. These tablets are the future. You could use it for presentation, video editing, photo editing, mailing and many more. These could be used by college students to complete their projects and tasks. I mean you do not need to carry books anymore to your college you just need a bag and a tablet. It could be used for business purposes also. It is so handy, light and easy to carry moreover with its improved performance you could now do everything that you could possibly do with a laptop.
Although for the time being, I am not including the percentage of people who are computer science engineer and would use it for machine learning, deep learning or game development programming and also the category of people who are gamers and require heavy duty thick laptops to run heavy games. The processor in them might be powerful but not so much to handle such heavy jobs. This is just the first step towards the future, these are only the first series of tablets that are launched in the market which brought such a grand change in technology. There are more to come in the future which could bring more changes and also would be capable of handling heavy jobs.
So, would the tables be improved to perform heavy jobs? or would the laptops be made thinner and light to compete for the tablets? As from the latest Surface pro laptops[The Surface Laptop 2] which were recently launched by Microsoft you could see that the laptops are made lighter and thinner with a premium design and quality. If you take a close look at that laptop or watch its review you will find that its most of the feature matches that of the latest tablet models mentioned above, it is lightweight, have a very slim body, have touchscreen feature, and also the feature of a basic modern laptop. It clearly displays the evolution of modern laptops towards future.
Not only Microsoft companies like Lenovo, Asus, HP are approaching toward a future with a lighter laptop which could perform heavy tasks also.
Technology improves from time to time but everything depends on acceptance by people. Are we ready to accept a future with a compatible and smart tablet which could perform tasks equivalent to a normal laptop or a laptop which might be heavy and bulky but could do heavy tasks compared to a tablet?
